11-11-11 meant many things to different people, and Las Vegas celebrated the date as one of the luckiest occasions in their history.
In true-to-form fashion, the self-proclaimed "Entertainment Capital of the World" revealed a pair of Guinness World Records title-setting Largest fuzzy dice, in front of the iconic "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign last Friday.
Measuring 1.2 m (4 ft) x 1.2 m (4 ft) x 1.2 m (4 ft), as certified by official Guinness World Records Adjudicator Danny Girton Jr., the dice were flanked by some of Donn Arden's brightly costumed Jubilee! performers from Bally's Las Vegas.
On-site to receive the congratulatory certificate from Girton Jr. was Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority Vice President Vince Alberta.
As explained by event sources, earning the Largest fuzzy dice Guinness World Records achievement represented Las Vegas' ability to continually reinvent itself and also showcased the destination's unique culture."
